Other Adventures

Grandpa gave Alice some licorice I think that she is a fan. He looked over a my with this big smile as the red drool ran down her face. I think that she was pretty proud of herself to get such a yummy treat. Zach also loves to ride any thing that goes even if he has to do the work himself. He may not get really get how to use the wiggle rider but he made it work for him. More pictures to come soon. In the meantime thanks for the wonderful time Mom and Dad!! We all loved every minute of it and miss you already!!

Kite Festival

One afternoon we decided to go the the Kite Festival. For Zach one of the best parts was going on the school bus. He LOVES buses and anything else that goes so for him to get to ride one was a big moment. He thought he wanted to go on the rocket ship but it turns out it is a lot more fun to watch people go on it then to go on it yourself. By the end of the ride we both had tears in our eyes . . . for different reasons I am a mean mom and thought it was funny. Since it was a kite festival we were also able to of course fly a kite. I was not very windy but for the two minutes the wind lasted it was fun. Zach also got to go on a train ride. The sign said no adults but I guess that only means no adults if you don't go with kids. They were kind of crazy drivers and went fairly fast so I am glad I went with him.

Fun in St. George

Casey is so close to being done with school but is not quite there. He had a lot of homework so the kids and I packed our bags and headed to St. George to visit my parents. Here are some of our adventures. Above is Zach's favorite place the splash pad in St. George. We spend a lot of time there and I don't know why I don't have more pictures of him. Oh, well I got some great pictures of Alice and her Grandpa. He is such a cute Grandpa I love it and the kids really love him. He is not afraid of a crying baby or crazy toddler (or both). Zach didn't sleep really well and woke up every morning way too early. He could get out of him room but I woke up at 5 to him calling "Pa Pa, Pa Pa" normally at 5 he wants "Mom, Mom, Mom" the best part about this was he had gone to there bedroom to wake them up and by the time I was going to get him Grandpa was already dressed and ready to be with Zach.

My new hobby

I have always wanted to decorate really cool cakes. I have done some before but I have never done any fondant. So before I went all out I decided to try a little experiment. So here are my fondant flower cupcakes. More cake pictures to come.

Alice's Blessing

Alice was blessed back in November and I probably posted pictures but I just got a CD from Casey's sister who took pictures so I thought I would post them.

Oh, Zach

So I figured since this was our third visit to radiology in less than a month I might as well get some pictures. I guess it is a good thing that Zach is so good about getting x-rays (maybe that is why he is Z-Ray). Anyway a few weeks ago we were getting x-rays for a broken clavicle. Last night he swallowed a battery Casey's mom was watching the kids when I got home I noticed something shiny in Zach's mouth it was a small round battery and we were missing one. We called the pediatrician and poison control. To make a long story short (and two trips to radiology later) right now the battery is moving along and we just need to watch for complications and the battery. Fun times!

Watch me grow!

Here are some photos of Alice at 3 weeks (bottom picture) and 6 months (top picture).
