Mortons visit

My sister and her family who live in Wisconsin came to visit us. Since both her and her Husband are both from Utah there is a lot of family to visit and they are spread around the state. They did however make time to see us. Zach was so sad to see his cousins leave. First he tried to climb in there van. I guess he figured with the chaos of four kids no on would notice a fifth. As soon as we got him out we were holding him as he cried "I want" over and over again as he pointed to the van.

Family Reunion and the 4th

Over the Fourth of July weekend Casey and I went to Park City for a family reunion. It was for Casey's Grandma Downs and her siblings down, so there were a lot of people there that we don't see except at these reunions. It was a lot of fun to see them, and for them to see Utah since most of them (other than the Downs part of the family) had never been to Utah before. The pictures are not in any order so I will just tell you a little about them from top to bottom.
Top Picture: the hotel we were staying at had a pool, so of course Zach was excited. Something new about this pool was the divider between it being an indoor and an outdoor pool. Most of the days we were there is wasn't hot Zach of course doesn't care so it was nice that his dad and Uncle Tyler were OK with the cooler temperatures.
The next two pictures are boating pictures on Jordanelle. Zach loved driving the boat. Both him and his cousin Carson thought that was pretty cool. I think Zach liked the idea of tubing but still wasn't quite sure about it. Overall though he had a great time.
Park City has a fourth of July parade every year. It was really only people with advertisements, there weren't any high school bands or city floats but Zach liked it anyway. After the parade we went to get something to eat. Zach was so tired and was trying to eat in his high chair but it was just so hard to stay awake. So I picked him up and layed him on the bench next to me he instantly fell asleep.
The last picture is all of those who came to the reunion.

Fun at Grandma's House

If you haven't noticed Zach loves the water. This was the first time he was able to play in the sprinklers. He didn't really run though them, but he did have a lot of fun. He liked to step on the sprinkler and pick it up and try to get Casey wet. He also liked to drink from the sprinkler. I have heard that hose water is dangerous and Zach's nearly 4 year old cousin let us know. Every time Zach tried to drink his cousin would try and stop him because it was "Bad water". This combined with Zach being surprised every time he strayed himself in the face made for a hilarious day.

Toy Story 3

Zach LOVES Toy Story! He loves everything about it. This love he has for the movie has prompted searches for Toy Story books and stuffed animals from Wisconsin to St. George (good thing I have a wonderful mom and sister). I think I could play it over and over and he would sit like a zombie. He thinks it is rather unfortunate that he doesn't get to watch it all the time. We did however decide to take him to his first movie and go see Toy Story 3. He loved it and sat and watched the entire movie. Not only did he love it but Casey and I really enjoyed it as well. I highly recommend you see it (even if you aren't obsessed with everything Toy Story)

Pool Dare Devil

Zach loves to jump off the edge into the pool. Actually, he just loves the pool in general. We always seem to pick the days that aren't so warm to go swimming. This doesn't bother Zach in the least bit. I am a wuss and like it to be really warm when I go swimming so it is a goos thing Zach has a great dad and uncle who are willing to go with him.

Highland Splash Park

I went with some friends (and their kids of course) to the Highland Splash Park. Zach loves it there it is just too bad that it gets crazy busy. Fortunately the day we were there it didn't get too busy until we were leaving anyway.

Updates

These pictures are from June, but I really liked them and thought I might try and do some catching up (after all I would much rather update my blog then go and clean my kitchen). The bottom picture is from our ward campout. It was Zach's first time camping and he loved it! He Especially loved to help his dad set up the tent. The next picture up is Zach and his friend Eliza. They are so cute together and enjoy dancing and playing together (Even better Eliza has awesome parents that Casey and I have enjoyed getting to know). The last picture is Zach getting ready to go to bed. He has to have a lot of stuff. His bear, blanky, Woody and Rex.
