A Funny Story

I think that I am just about done blogging for the day but I have been wanting to put this picture up for awhile. The picture itself is not really funny but the story to go with it is.
The other day we were having our friends over for dinner they were going to be to our house in 15 minutes. I was making Chinese food and was in the middle when Zach needed a diaper change. Fortunately Casey was there to volunteer. Unfortunately Zach had a blow out, or should I say blow up because there was poo from the top of his diaper to his shoulders. Then, when Casey was taking of this shirt he accidentally got it all over Zach's head and in his hair. This called for more than just a regular clean up this called for a bath. So with 15 minutes until company arrived Casey was bathing Zach and I was finishing dinner prep. As soon as Zach was nice and clean I couldn't resist a picture to remember the moment.

Finished Projects

I finally finished some of the projects that I have been wanting to get done yeah! Of course there are always more but I do enjoy the work as much as the finished project. The top picture is of my "seasonally correct" quilt blocks. Basically, what I do is put a new set of quilt blocks in the frames for every season. I have already done summer, fall and Christmas. I could really get carried away and do them for each holiday but so far I have tried to keep it simple. The one season that is the most difficult to find fabric for is winter. They have a TON of Christmas fabrics but just winter are a little harder to come by. I was out looking for winter fabric yet again and at ever store they have tons of really cute Valentines Day fabric. At first I resisted because I wanted winter, not just one holiday. Well, as you can see I finally gave in. After all I have Christmas blocks so I only need winter for January and February so why not do Valentines Day :)
The second picture is a project I have been wanting to do for quite a while. Our kitchen window blind do not fit perfectly so there is a little gap. Keep in mind it is a small gap and you could really only see through it if you are being kinda creepy, hanging out right next to our window and looking in (it also needs to be dark outside and light inside unless you press you face right up to the window). Well the other day I found a beer can sitting in an upright position right next to our kitchen window. It appears as though someone was sitting right outside enjoying there beer. Well, it kinda worried me so that motivated me to get it done. Now that it is done I love the splash of red that it brought into my kitchen.

I have said it before and I know I will say it again

I know that I say it a lot, but I really can't believe how much Zach has grown. Some ways are really obvious, he use to have such skinny legs and arms, other ways I haven't thought as much about. Casey was looking through some old photos and noticed that Zach's pacifier use to look a lot bigger. In the pictures above the pacifiers are the same size, it is just the baby that has grown a lot.

Time sure flies when you are having fun. I just posted Zach's four month photos and he is now just over five months. Zach has now started on rice cereal and oatmeal and loves it! He may not look really happy in this picture, but he really likes to eat. He also loves to sit at the table with mom and dad in his new high chair.

And a happy New Year! We rang in the new year in sunny and warm St. George. Above is a picture of Zach with his Grandma Johnson.


Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful Christmas this year, here is a picture of Zach with all of his Christmas presents.
In December Zach turned four months old. I can't believe how much he has changed in four months! When he was born he was in the 6th percentile and at four months is now in the 78th percentile. Above are a few pictures from what we have been up to lately.
